Here's some basics on Dungeons and Dragons:
The first step to playing Dungeons and Dragons is to create a
character. Here are some basic steps:
- Choose a class - whether your character is a warrior, mage, etc.
- Choose a race - whether your character is an elf, dwarf etc.
- Choose a background - what your character was before they
started adventuring, such as a criminal, noble, or folk hero - Choose a subclass - what kind of warrior/mage/other your
character is - Choose ONE method of getting your character's stats:
- Roll dice (Six sets of four six-sided dice, with
the three highest rolls totalled for each set) - Assign 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, and 8 to your stats.
- Assign 27 "points" of numbers to your stats:
8 is 0, 9 is 1, up until 13 is 5; then, 14 costs 7 and
15 costs 9 points.
